CAC Youth Director, Pastor Olanrewaju’s keynote address sets pace for 2025 Leaders Retreat

in our context as youth leaders, this means raising a generation of young people who are spiritually grounded and yet capable of excelling in their professions, ministries, and societal engagements. They must be both faithful servants of God and influential agents of change.

“This retreat represents coming apart to be with Jesus for renewal, instruction, and empowerment,” the Director of Youth Affairs, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Peter Olanrewaju has said.

Pastor Olanrewaju said this yesterday at the opening session of the 2025 International Leaders Retreat organised by the CAC Directorate of Youth Affairs for Youth leaders of the church.

Delivering his keynote address, the Director noted that being with Jesus at the retreat is a time of transformation, equipping for effectiveness, and leadership rooted in God’s presence.

Speaking under the theme of the retreat, “Raising Leaders of Influence,” the Youth Director said “in our context as youth leaders, this means raising a generation of young people who are spiritually grounded and yet capable of excelling in their professions, ministries, and societal engagements. They must be both faithful servants of God and influential agents of change.”

He emphasised that the responsibility laid on youth leaders to raise kings and priests in every assembly up to regional levels requires building through discipleship, leading with excellence and integrity and equipping for societal transformation.

Pastor Olanrewaju concluded by expressing that the retreat is a moment of divine alignment, calling on leaders to arise, lead boldly, and raise a generation that will tranform the world for Christ.

The 3-day retreat which attracted tons of leaders from respective regions in the church, was characterised by an impactful ministration by Reverend Dr. Oyelakin Olabiyi on “Understanding the Mandate: Raising Kings and Priests.”

Reverend Oyelakin challenged the leaders on being exemplary leaders and role models to youths, without compromise of the standard of the faith.

The retreat continues today with impactful items at the different sessions.
